Rusty D’Anna serves as a Co-Managing Partner of TPH Research in Houston. Prior to joining TPH Research, D’Anna served in equity sales roles at both Credit Suisse and Citigroup. He holds a BSBA from Appalachian State University and an MBA from Louisiana State University.
Matthew Portillo, CFA, serves as Co-Managing Partner of TPH Research, Head of the Research team, as well as covering E&P and Oil and Gas Macro. Prior to joining TPH Research, Portillo served as a Portfolio Manager at Enso Capital Management primarily covering international equities. He holds a BA in Economics and a Certificate in Finance from Princeton University.
John Hurd serves as a Managing Director in the Equity Sales department in Houston. Prior to joining TPH Research, Hurd served as Managing Director at Global Hunter in New Orleans. Before that, Hurd was Managing Director at Madison Williams. Hurd was also Partner at Pritchard Capital, and has previously worked as VP of Sales at both Sterne Agee and Southcoast Capital. Hurd holds a BA in Southern Studies from the University of Mississippi.
Matthew Blair, CFA, serves as a Managing Director of Refiners, Chemicals, and Renewable Fuels Research in the firm’s Denver office. Blair previously worked as an equity research analyst covering Refiners and Natural Gas Vehicles with Macquarie Capital. Blair also served as an energy summer analyst with Passport Capital, LLC and as summer credit analyst focused on E&P with Franklin Templeton Investments. Prior to attending business school, Blair worked for Quellos Capital Management, LP (now BlackRock Alternative Advisors). Blair holds a BA in International Political Economy from the University of Puget Sound, and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley – Walter A. Haas School of Business.
Jeoffrey Lambujon serves as a Managing Director in the equity research division covering the E&P sector. Lambujon previously worked as an intern with TPH Research in 2012. Before that, Lambujon was a natural gas scheduling analyst at Sequent Energy Management. Prior to joining Sequent Energy, Lambujon served as a proprietary trader with Kershner Trading Group. He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Oliver Huang serves as an Executive Director in the Research department covering the E&P sector. Prior to joining TPH Research, Huang served as an intern on the real-time trading desk at EDF Trading and as a consulting intern with The Structure Group. Before that, Huang served as a retail power & gas analyst intern with Twin Eagle Resource Management, and as a junior trader intern with Great Point Capital LLC. Huang holds a BBA and MS in Finance from Texas A&M University.
Jeff LeBlanc serves as a Director in the Equity Research division covering ESE. LeBlanc previously worked as an Associate with Bazean. He holds a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M.
AJ O’Donnell serves as a Director in the Equity Research division covering Energy Infrastructure. Prior to joining TPH Research, O’Donnell worked at East Daley Analytics, covering liquids-focused midstream companies and commodity markets. Before that O’Donnell was a market maker in index derivatives on the CBOE and NYSE Arca. He holds a BA in Finance from the University of Iowa.
Jake Roberts serves as a Director in the Research division. He holds a BA in Economics from California State University – East Bay, an MS in Agribusiness and Economics from West Texas A&M, and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Zack Van Everen serves as a Director in the equity research division covering Energy Infrastructure. Van Everen previously worked at East Daley Capital, covering the broader midstream and natural gas markets. He holds a BA in Finance from Colorado State University.
Chris Gilliam serves as an Associate in the equity research division covering the Midstream and Renewables sectors. Gilliam joined TPH Research as an intern in 2022. Before that time, he was a petroleum geologist with Anadarko Petroleum, Petro-Hunt LLC, CDX Gas LLC, and Terra Guidance. Gilliam holds a double B.S. in Geology and Environmental Sciences from North Carolina State University, an M.S. in Geosciences from Colorado State University, and an M.S. in Finance and MBA from the University of Denver.
Elizabeth Wood serves as an Executive Assistant in the Equity Research division. She holds a BA in Education from the University of Mississippi.
